Harvesting time:

With little care, the wax cappings tend to peel themselves off and you can place them in a strainer with a bowl to accumulate more honey.

Step 4: Extraction of the honey:

Now in this step, put the supers in an extractor and ensure that the longest part of the frame is closer to the outer part or else it could be imbalanced. This way, the honey sticks on the sides and slides down on the extractor.

Step 5: Pouring of the honey & settling:

For this purpose, you would need the help of a filter as you will need to pour the honey from the extractor via a filter to a tank or bucket. You would need to rest the freshly gotten honey for at least 24 hours to figure out bubbles that rise up on top of it. You can separate those bubbles and keep the honey for your own usage. Ideal practice is to use honey tank because of its filler cap and you can also utilize another finer to get rid of solid surface or bubbles.
